Hawkman Day was November 20 and I was busy trying to get The Complete History of Hawkman, Hawkwoman, and Hawkgirl finished, so I took a week off from posting any news or articles. So this week I'll cover two weeks' worth.
Hawkman and Hawkwoman Chose Each Other Over Eternal Life (CBR)Hawkman and Hawkwoman usually take their place somewhere in these lists, and this one is no exception. They are one of the premier couples in the DCU, and yet DC acts like they don't exist.
Another project that DC tossed aside for another reboot. It's a shame that we may not see Aldis Hodge and the JSA again. DC should just change their name to Nevermind Comics.
Introducing one of the most hated characters in Hawkman's history. When they placed Hawkworld in the current time, instead of it being a reinvention of their origin, Hawkman's history became a clique of confusion. To patch it up, they rebooted the Silver Age Hawkman from 1988 to 1994 as an imposter. He was Shayera Thal's cousin and spy who killed the Hawkwoman imposter (Sharon Parker). He got beat up by Katar Hol, put in a Thanagarian prison, became some sort of monk, and was killed by Blackfire (Starfire's sister).
I posted an article about this about a week ago, but apparently, there may or may not be a Hawkman and Hawkwoman show in Chapter 2 or Chapter 3 of a project where Chapter 1 hasn't even started yet. We've been burned by CW and Syfy before, so I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. At least they're getting rumored.
Another short blurb lamenting that we won't see Aldis Hodge as Hawkman again.
Sorry, but I lost all will to attempt a review on the hands-down worst Hawk series in their 84-year history. Here's one from Weird Science's Gabriel Hernandez.
That's all we got for those two weeks. The wait for a Hawkman comic or a Hawkgirl comic by a good writer continues.
you are mean to hawkgirl for no more reviews. she is depending on you.
