#001 Ktar the Deathbringer and Shrra the Herald 

Millions of years ago, the Lord of the Void (LOTV) existed in another dimension. He desired to enter other dimensions and rule over them, so he created an army of winged soldiers called the Deathbringers. Ktar was also created at this time. He was the general of the LOTV's army and served the entity without question. For millions of years, Ktar and the Deathbringers would conquer planet after planet, sacrificing the people to the LOTV, which gradually gave the entity the power to enter other dimensions to conquer and destroy. 

However, Ktar slowly began to question his existence. But breaking free from the god that created him was no easy task. The catalyst that gave him the strength to escape was Shrra, a herald angel of God. Her god warned her to not interfere, but she sensed good in Ktar and helped him fight back against the LOTV and the Deathbringers, sending them back into their own dimension. Ktar was mortally wounded during the battle and died in Shrra's arms. 

At the judgment, Shrra's god saw the good in Ktar as well, and sent him into into an endless reincarnation cycle, telling him he must save as many lives as he took to earn atonement for his sins. Shrra, who had fallen in love with Ktar, was also sent into reincarnation as punishment for disobeying her god. Shrra swore that she would complete the task with Ktar and come before her god again someday. And so the legend of Hawkman and Hawkwoman began...
